8-year-old in Oak Grove writes book to be published

Third-grader Mya Outlaw of Placid Bay, Virginia, researched, wrote, and illustrated her book A Ladybug’s Life as part of her RESEARCH LABS final project at Washington District Elementary School. RESEARCH LABS use project-based learning to stimulate, challenge, and empower students to become experts in their chosen topic within a shared unit of study. ARC selects the cream of the crop to be published as hardcover books.
