ARC Core K–3 with Fundations Included on Wisconsin’s Early Literacy Curriculum List
American Reading Company is proud to announce that ARC Core® K–3, in collaboration with Wilson Language Training’s Fundations program, has been included on the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction’s recommended early literacy curriculum list under Wisconsin Act 20.
Wisconsin’s review process evaluates instructional programs based on their alignment to essential components of literacy instruction, including phonological awareness, phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, oral language development, background knowledge, vocabulary, writing, and reading comprehension.
Together, ARC Core and Fundations provide educators with a comprehensive literacy approach that integrates systematic phonics instruction with rich knowledge-building texts and consistent reading and writing practice to help every student achieve grade-level success.
“We are honored to be included on Wisconsin’s early literacy curriculum list,” said Gina Rose, CEO of American Reading Company. “We are also excited to partner with Wilson Language Training to combine the strength of Fundations and ARC Core in support of comprehensive early literacy instruction for students and teachers. This partnership, along with Wisconsin’s recognition, reflects our shared commitment to evidence-based practices that build strong foundational skills while developing deep content knowledge.
With this inclusion, Wisconsin districts can confidently implement ARC Core alongside Fundations as a literacy solution aligned to the state’s vision for high-quality early literacy instruction. For 25 years, ARC has partnered with schools and districts nationwide to accelerate student outcomes through engaging, knowledge-rich, and research-based instruction, and we are excited to work with Wisconsin educators to reach the goal of all students reading and writing on or above grade level.
