Beaverton Makes Shift, Sees Success

American Reading Company Executive Coaches recently worked elbow-to-elbow with all elementary teachers in Beaverton, Oregon, to guide them in a shift in how teachers teach reading; instead of teaching a whole class from a prescribed text, they are learning about each individual student and their needs and then matching them to books that interest them.

Students are already responding positively, and teachers are enthusiastic about being able to spend valuable time on what each student needs. We're looking forward to hearing more good news out of Beaverton!
