CURATE’s panel of Massachusetts educators reviews and rates the quality of instructional materials and alignment to college-and career-ready standards. CURATE reports that ARC Core’s materials “...scaffold inquiry for students, supporting them in learning how to think without telling them what to think. They provide teachers with structures to identify student needs and personalize instruction based on these needs”.

ARC Core (available K–12 in English and K–5 in Spanish) is a text-rich, knowledge-building curriculum that immerses students in inquiry-based units and provides access to high-information texts and meaningful content. Accelerated academic performance is fueled by daily exposure to grade-level rigor and targeted instruction. CURATE reviewed all components of ARC Core for Text Quality and Organization, Classroom Tasks and Instruction, Accessibility for Students, Usability for Teachers, and Impact on Learning.

"American Reading Company is honored to earn the highest ranking on the CURATE review,” said Jane Hileman, Founder, and CEO of American Reading Company. “We are committed to helping Massachusetts’ continued work to ensure equal educational opportunities for every American family.”
