Exceptional Achievements

An article from The 74 highlights a powerful truth: poverty and low reading proficiency are linked, but they don’t have to be.

Our partners in Lincoln Parish Schools have been recognized as an “exceptional district” for surpassing expectations in reading achievement despite economic challenges. While data suggested a 35% proficiency rate, Lincoln Parish students achieved 56%—a remarkable feat that showcases the impact of effective instruction and a commitment to literacy success.

Their achievement proves that with the right approach, every student can thrive.
