American Reading Company is proud to partner with our esteemed Academic Advisory Board member Dr. Richard Allington to present a special event focused on summer reading loss and research-based solutions to stem the dreaded summer slide.

A past president of the International Reading Association and one of the most renowned experts in effective research-based reading models, Dr. Richard Allington will discuss how schools and communities can see greater academic gains for students using interventions and models to plan a successful summer reading program.Following Allington’s presentation will be a Lunch & Learn Workshop “How to Implement the 3 Shifts of the CCSS while Practicing Close Reading” led by Gail Farrell, M.Ed. Workshops are complimentary and lunch will be provided.
