Teachers upbeat after weeklong literacy training

Last week, American Reading Company presenters led workshops for Philly K-3 teachers at a weeklong institute as part of the city’s READ! by 4th initiative, which aims to have all students reading at grade level by the end of the 3rd grade. Participants left feeling positive and prepared: One teacher was pleased to have learned “actual strategies and resources ... as opposed to just theories.” We’re honored to have played a part in ensuring consistency and clarity as Philadelphia undertakes the powerful READ! by 4th initiative!
